Saw them at Bush Hall, London, last night. Really good. Best AMC gig I've seen for years. Since they reformed I've felt that AMC haven't managed to combine the band with Eitzel totally effectively - they've been good without being stunning. The gigs at the beginning of the year were getting close but yesterday was the best yet.
But, we all go for Eitzel don't we? Well, maybe a bit of Vudi, but Mr E's the man. And last night he was just spectacular. Released from guitar duty he was like a dervish. Voice as good as its ever been (but I seem to be saying that after every AMC/Eitzel gig recently - Eitzel will get to age 100 with the voice of the gods in his throats I swear) and with a glint in his eye. His Rosie O'Donnell skit was worth the price of entry alone.
Great show at the Bush Hall on Thursday, will also be at Winchester tomorrow. Anyone training it down from London? Really enjoying the blog coverage as well. A few pictures from Thursday are here
Hey, great blog. Has anyone heard anything about a possible gig in Paris? They usually come through here and it often seems to announced at the last minute.
